This rabbit is 2 weeks old and CAN hear and CAN see!!!!!!!!! About this time they come out of the nest box and are hopping around.
This is my mommy rabbit. (She really isn't a red eyed rabbit it's just the picture.)
This is my daddy rabbit.
You can litter train a rabbit!!!!!!
To litter train a rabbit find the corner that it goes in the most. Put a litter box in that corner and the rabbit will get use to going in the box. You may have to pick up a few poop dropings off of the floor but you won't have to clean up any urine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I trained my rabbit this way and it really works! When I have my rabbit out he jumps back in the cage and goes in the litter box. once in a while he will leave droopings on the floor but they pick up really easy with a kleenex.
A book that helped me a lot was "Rabbit Production" By: James McNitt, Nephi Patton, Steven Lukefahr & Peter Cheeke
How I feed my rabbits
I feed my rabbits 1 cup of feed per rabbit. I feed them in the morning and don't feed them again untill the next day.
How I got started
I was given a Mini Rex, buck for my 9th birthday from my parents. Then 3 years later we moved to 7 1/2 acres and I wanted to breed my male and sell the babies. Well 2 years after that I started looking for a female Mini Rex and let me tell you it was not easy. I looked on the web at animal shelters and pet shops and lots of other places. I finally got a doe and my dad bought another cage and I’m on my way to breed them. I am a member of the ARBA (American Rabbit Breeders Association).
